Riders of the Light is a fight theme in the Bayonetta series that is often associated with the enemies Gracious and Glorious. It was composed by Hiroshi Yamaguchi.
Appearances[]
Bayonetta[]
The track first plays in The Vestibule prologue while Bayonetta fights in her nun costume. It plays later throughout the game in subsequent chapters when fighting more intermediate-level enemies, most commonly Grace, Glory, Gracious, Glorious, Fearless, and Fairness.
Bayonetta 2[]
In Bayonetta 2, the track returns when Bayonetta is sent back in time to Vigrid during the Witch Hunts. Like in the first game, it plays when fighting Grace, Glory, Fearless, and Fairness. It also plays during certain verses of the Witch Trials.
Bayonetta 3[]
Three new iterations of Riders of the Light play during hidden verses against angels and in the Witch Trials. The song briefly plays towards the end of the game's credits sequence. While the original track is not included, the Bayonetta 3 Original Soundtrack includes Riders of the Light (3rd Climax Mix) - Amazing EP Solo Ver., Wonderful B3 Solo Ver., and Crazy Gt Solo Ver.
The "3rd Climax" variations were arranged with traditional instrumentation, contrasting the electronic soundscapes of the original version. They were arranged by Hiroshi Yamaguchi and Masahiro Aoki.
