Ribbit Libido-BZ55Ribbit Libido-BZ55 is a weaponized stand microphone introduced in Bayonetta 3. Housing the Infernal Demon Baal within, Ribbit Libido-BZ55 allows Bayonetta to use the stand as a spear to perform quick long-range attacks, along with using her amplified voice to attack enemies and embolden herself.

As with other weapons in Bayonetta 3, Ribbit Libido-BZ55 is treated as a set and cannot be mixed with other weapons.

In-Game Description[]

A microphone stand favored by the Infernal Demon Baal.

Baal's microphone of choice when performing has continually absorbed magic over centuries of use and has taken on a number of properties quite useful for combat, such as converting voices into destructive sound waves and boosting the performer's strength and durability depending on how they sing.

Light yet sturdy, the stand also doubles as a surprisingly powerful spear, and can also be used to deliver blows and piercing attacks.

When this weapon is used in tandem with Demon Masquerade, the user channels Baal's power and gains not only the most beautiful voice in Inferno, but also the unbridled destructive power it contains.

Design[]

Ribbit Libido-BZ55 is a microphone stand with a skull shaped microphone and an amplifier shaped like Baal's face on the opposite side. The stand is black and purple and can extend itself to attack from a distance, the tripod has the shape of three golden high heeled shoes and they unfold into a bladed point when the weapon is being used as a spear. When the weapon is being used as a mic the tripod will fold back into its high heel shape and the Baal face will open its mouth to release sound attacks. The microphone is based on the Shure 55SH model. When equipped, instead of butterflies, Bayonetta's steps and jumps generate little pools of purple steaming poison at her feet.

How to obtain[]

This weapon, and its accompanying Demon Slave Baal, are automatically acquired after completing Chapter 9.

Unique Traits[]

Baal Masquerade

I will ignite! Dancing through the fire around me, I'll never stop! ― Bayonetta executing Ribbit Libido-BZ55's Masquerade Rage

Fused with Baal's abilities, the combo finishers of this form cause area-of-effect damage from Bayonetta's voice into the microphone itself, damage everything with radius of the sound waves. For certain attacks, Bayonetta will use her frog-like tongue in a manner akin to a whip, very much like Baal. As a charge modifier, Bayonetta can temporarily buff her attack and defense- while buff effects cannot be stacked, performing a buff repeatedly can extend its duration and the buff will persist even if Bayonetta equips a different weapon.

Punch attacks are front thrusts, while Kick attacks are AoE spins. Shoot releases sonic projectiles that resemble bubbles.

The Shure 55SH was a very popular microphone, with notable users including Frank Sinatra (whose cover discography originated several songs in the Bayonetta series) and Elvis Presley (a popular male sex symbol in pop culture).
  • Most of Ribbit Libido-BZ55's skills are named after musical terms.
  • Raging Gaga seems to reference Lady Gaga, a worldwide musician who's known for her versatility and has stated herself a Bayonetta fan on her Twitter.
  • Queen Of The Devildom has Bayonetta and Jeanne sing a verse from "Tomorrow Is Mine (Bayonetta 2 Theme)". The instrumentation of this version is identical to "Let's Dance, Boys! (2nd Climax Ver.)".
