A Dea is a angel of supreme power. Out of all the angelic ranking, the Dea is perhaps the highest rank among the Hierarchy of Laguna. They serve as the rulers of Paradiso.[1]

Both Deas within Bayonetta are fought as bosses, offering perhaps the most challenging of enemies within the game.

Characteristics[]

Those whom possess this ranking, as mentioned before, are usually rulers of Paradiso alongside some of the other rankings whether a portion of the realm or whole. Deas are also tasked with various responsibilities (such as creation or enacting Divine Will). Their power is so renown that even other rulers of Paradiso harbor fear against Deas. However, their power is not infallible can be defeated or even killed despite their immortality.[2]
