An amalgamation of several Stratus-type Homunculi that has reconfigured itself for long-range attack.
It can increase its metabolism to perform cellular fission at an extreme rate, and convert the energy into a highly damaging laser.
Appearance[]
The Cavum resembles a four-legged turret, with a long gun barrel, behind said barrel there's a hole-like space with the homunculus "eye" behind it. They're noticeably comprised from multiple Stratus types and have their light tether coming from their tops.
Gameplay[]
The Cavum can attack with either a energy beam or a bombardment attack. The former is preceded by a red targeting laser that flashes aiming at Bayonetta, while the latter marks a spot on the ground where the attack will land after a while; in both cases it needs a moment to charge before it fires. If Bayonetta gets too close to it, it will jump away.
Cava can also cling to walls and ceilings, giving them a better vantage point for their attacks.
Recommended Weapons[]
As Cava have no way of protecting themselves in close range, weapons that can quickly close the distance between them and Bayonetta or have long enough reach to reduce the threat posed by their ranged attacks such as the Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo are effective at countering them.
Trivia[]
"Cavum" (plural "cava") means "hollow, recess", and refers to a large gap in cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds (also known as a fallstreak hole).
This name refers to the big hole present in the homunculus' body.
